Rebamipide
Indications/Uses
Gastric mucosal lesions (eg, erosions, bleeding, redness & edema) in acute gastritis & acute exacerbation of chronic gastritis. Gastric ulcers.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult Gastric mucosal lesion in acute gastritis & acute exacerbation of chronic gastritis 1 tab tid. Gastric ulcer 1 tab tid (in the morning, evening & before bedtime).
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Special Precautions
Discontinue use if signs of hypersensitivity reactions (eg, rash, pruritus & eczematous drug eruption) develop. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn. Elderly.
Adverse Reactions
Rare: Rash, pruritus & eczematous drug eruption; dry mouth, constipation, sensation of abdominal enlargement, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, heartburn, abdominal pain & belching; signs of hepatic function disorder including increased GOT, GPT, γ-GTP & alkaline phosphatase levels; leukopenia; mammary gland expansion, nonpuerperal lactation, menstrual disorder, dizziness, increased BUN level, edema & sensation of foreign body in the pharynx.
